Series Four of The Thick of It will air this Saturday at 9.45pm on BBC 2 and it is covering current affairs and exciting political developments including the Coalition government. There are new staff members ranging from the sharp and surly Peter Mannion to the obnoxious pair of special advisors Adam Kenyon and Fergus Williams, who William Blackwell describes as: “a horribly self-possessed and overconfident pair…They play squash together. They do squat thrusts in the office together… If a magazine existed that was a cross between the New Statesman and Nuts, they’d buy it.”
Malcolm Tucker returns to the new series subdued, not enjoying being on the outside after being replaced by a coalition, but his old mojo returns before long firing improvised insults at the cast.
With 8 new episodes in this series, it promises to be thoroughly original and hilarious.
