The Gate Islington officially opened on 1st June. Just a short walk from the trendy Upper Street, diners are warmly welcomed and are invited to choose from a delicious array of vegetarian cuisine. This is the second restaurant for owners Adrian and Michael Daniel who already have a popular restaurant in Hammersmith, which opened in 1989.
The Gate brings exciting and refined Indo-Iraqi Jewish cuisine too Islington. Ingredients are sourced and cooked with care meaning that flavours are intensified. The beautifully presented and delicious food combinations are ideal for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Set against a backdrop of high ceilings, original Victorian features and moody lighting, The Gate offers a cosy and comfortable setting. The Gate is individual, innovative and consistently provides great food and service. It is a rare find in London.
With the serene setting and the delectable food, diners are treated to a relaxing experience, and keeping with the style of The Gate, the bar menu is just as enticing as the food menu, offering hearty cocktails, both sweet and savoury with a few surprises on the side.
The Gate has had a welcome reception from customers, residents and local businesses that are all delighted with the new menus.
Michael Daniel says of the launch; “We are really excited to be here and look forward to becoming better known in the area as word spreads.”
